Textbooks

September 2020

Textbook hours have been adjusted due to county and district guidelines for COVID 19.  These hours are subject to change as campus restrictions adjust to changes in the pandemic.

The textbook room is temporarily moved to the Workday Student Center in Room 111.  Students can find the window on the East Side back corner of WSC first floor by the Cafe.

Tuesdays and Wednesdays ONLY between 3:30pm-5:30pm at the window of WSC room 111.

Thank you

TEXTBOOK TIPS

**ALL textbooks are barcoded.  Your student is responsible for returning the book with the barcode that was checked out to them.  If the book is lost, it will need to be paid for.

**All textbooks that are checked out from the Textbook Office need to be returned directly to the Textbook Office, not to the teacher.

**If a student drops a class, please return the textbook back to the Textbook Office immediately.

**If a student checks out a textbook or novel from the Textbook Office, they will be held responsible if the textbook is lost or damaged. Per District policy, we cannot accept purchased copies to replace a lost or damaged book.  Student will need to pay the fine.  Refunds are issued for fines paid on lost books which are later found.

** Fines may be paid at the Bookkeeping Office window M_F 8-4pm.

SRVUSD Textbook Replacement Policy -  Students are responsible to return all textbooks, instructional materials and novels loaned to them for the school year.  If students do not return the materials loaned to them, they will be charged a replacement fee to replace the lost edition(s).  In order to assure that we are getting the correct book, we are unable to accept replacement books purchased online or at bookstores.  There are often many editions available of the same book as well as California vs National editions that appear to be an exact match outwardly; however, the content can, and does, vary.  Also, used books often arrive with missing pages, and/or damage that causes the book to be unusable.  To ensure that we get the correct edition that exactly matches the one that was lost, our District textbook clerk will order a replacement from one of our reliable vendors.
