Permission Slips & I.D. Cards

A completed permission slip is required to get into prom.  I have copied the link below but it is also located on the same page as the online ticket in the MV webstore.  Once a ticket(s) is purchased please print and complete the permission slip and bring it to the Bookkeeper’s office NO LATER THAN Monday, March 4th at 4:00pm.  Each MVHS student must have his or her own permission slip even if the student is attending with another MVHS student. The guest portion of the permission slip is for non-MVHS students only.  Once permission slips are turned in, the student’s name will be added to the entry list.  No physical tickets will be required for entry, as stated above. Student names will be on the entry list.  No student will be allowed into the dance without a permission slip on file, regardless of payment.  Students must have their photo I.D. card to enter the dance.

Parent Volunteers Day/Night of Prom

If you would like to join in the fun that is 'Junior Prom' we would love to have your help.  This night CANNOT HAPPEN without volunteers. Throughout the day and evening sophomore and junior parent volunteers assist with decorating, check in/out, coat/shoes/etc, decor take down, dessert distribution and clean up.  The school provides staff who will do the dirty work like chaperoning and taking care of behavioral issues so that parent volunteers do not have to do that.  In the past, parents have made a night of volunteering by going out to dinner with friends and then coming to volunteer-just an idea!  Parking is located on the street in front of the Oakland Scottish Rites Center ("OSRC") on Lakeside Drive or in the back on Madison Street.  OSRC also has a small parking lot in the back on Madison Street but that fills up quickly.  Carpooling is a great idea too!  Please leave time for traffic - as we all know, the tunnel etc. can get pretty backed up.  Please dress COMFORTABLY, including your shoes!  No need to get fancy=> If you have any last minute changes to your volunteer commitment or volunteering questions, please feel free to contact Monte Vista's volunteer coordinator Renee Mencarelli (925) 683-8324.  All other prom questions please contact me, Victoria Santa Maria (925) 980-4384.

Please sign up to volunteer

There will be so many options for photos at prom this year.  We will have a professional large photo booth, formal prom photos, roaming photographers and selfie stations.  To pre-pay for your pictures visit: I will forward any additional links to photos once I receive them.  Make sure that you tell your kids to take advantage of all of the options so that you can share in their memories!

The school does not provide transportation to/from prom.  As we all remember, typically kids get a group together and rent large buses, limos, etc.  So get those plans rolling!
