Incoming 9th Grade Night

Tuesday, February 25th from 5:15-7:10 pm

(for students and parents of public and private middle schools)

Welcome future Mustangs!  There will be food trucks at Incoming Freshman night on February 25th at 5pm! We will have 4 main food trucks along with a dessert truck and a mini-donut pop up tent.  Come early for Campus Tours and dinner with your friends before the presentations and rotation through campus. 


Dear Class of 2024, Welcome to the Monte Vista High School Community. As an incoming freshman, you are about to embark on a four year journey at one of the best comprehensive high schools in California. Monte Vista distinguishes itself through excellent academics, service-oriented and affinity clubs, championship athletic teams, and award-winning arts programs. Monte Vista’s faculty and staff are committed to inspire, engage, and support your learning throughout your high school experience and pride ourselves in helping you achieve success in and beyond high school. Parents and students are invited to attend the Incoming 9 th Grade Night to provide you with information and resources to foster a positive transition to MVHS. Entering high school brings tremendous excitement, but it may also bring a degree of uncertainty. Counselors and staff are looking forward to sharing the wide variety of new opportunities next school year will offer. Please join us on Tuesday, February 25th to learn about high school course options, graduation requirements and extra-curricular opportunities. No RSVP is needed. There will be food trucks too, so do not worry about going around on empty stomachs! We look forward to meeting you!

Academics in Theater - Learn about high school course selection, graduation requirements as well as the academic, social and emotional transition to high school. Presented by the MV Counselors.

Student Life in Gym- Monte Vista has a diverse and vibrant student community. Come meet a student panel and enjoy performances. Led by Principal Ahern.
