HAPPY HALLOWEEN! Please make sure your costume follows all school safety requirements.  No masks or weapons are allowed.  Be creative MV! 

 

CAP & GOWN ORDERS FOR SENIORS:  The final order day for caps/gowns and grad announcements is Thursday, November 1 during Lunch only in front of the Main Office.  All seniors who have not yet placed their cap/gown order must do so at this time. 

 

PARENTS OF SENIORS:  Don't forget to get your senior ad in to the Yearbook! You'll be creating your own, so that way your student knows it's made with love. Check out the attached flyer for information, and contact Ms. Jennie Drummond with any questions you might have. The price goes up on November 11, so get them in quickly!

 

 

KEITH HAWKINS:  11/7 Frosh Assemblies  Keith returns to MV to meet with the freshmen.  Girls and boys will directly report to the large gym and bring their backpacks with them.   Girls will be attending during 1st period and the boys will be attending during 2nd period.

CLUB NEWS

PRE MED CLUB:  There is a meeting Tuesday, 10/30 at lunch.  Kathleen Crisp, College Admissions officer, will be talking about what colleges are looking for in a student application and general information about admissions.  See you there.  

 
SEWA:  Donate School Supplies to aid those in Oakland, through the non-profit, Oakland Schools. You can donate notebooks, pencils, pens and anything of the sort to Ms. Beamish's room 309. The drive starts Monday October 29th and ends November 16th

 

PLEDGE TO HUMANITY: Save your Halloween candy and bring it to school on the days after Halloween! The Pledge to Humanity Club is collecting candy to distribute to our local shelters and we need your help! Let us offer these sweet treats to people who don't get them very often. The bin is in front of the Office.

 

Attention SHF Members!  French Honor Society will have its third meeting on Monday November 5th at lunch in room 425. We will celebrate and decorate for National French Week! This meeting is an especially good time to earn an external point by bringing French food.

Announcement: Tassajara Hills Elementary School is looking for cabin leaders for Walker Creek. They are looking for both male and female that are at least sophomores and in good academic standing. If you are interested stop by the career center and pick up an application! contact Mrs. Vaughan at gvaughan@srvusd.net.   Meeting at 4:30pm on 11/13 or 11/15 at Tassajara Hills in Room D1. Dads on Campus:
Speaker series with discussion as more than 50 Dads meet as scheduled.  Series topics are selected to support Dads and their teenage students.    Coordinator is Ryan Meineke  dadsoncampusmv@yahoo.com   

 

Parent Teacher Student Association – 10:30am Conference Rm
Parents meet routinely to support MV campus, staff and activities.  Volunteers coordinate programs such as Parent Education and After School Tutoring.  President is Janet Nunan.  janetnunan@aol.com 

 

School Site Council-  3:30pm WSC 118
Elected participation by Parents, Teachers, Student and Staff help direct funding to MV programs.  The current board positions are filled.  Next meeting is 10/11.  Coordinator is Kristine Sexton. ksexton@srvusd.net   

 

Coffee with Kevin-   8:30am WSC 118
Monthly coffee scheduled 8:30am in 118 including presentations by students, faculty departments and time for Q&A with Administration. No RSVP needed.  See you there! jmcfarland@srvusd.net
